Rachael and Lauren came to Fiji for the first time. They were on a traveling holiday as they had gone to Thailand and Australia before coming to Fiji. This was a stopover after their island hopping holiday at Mana Island. They had a great flight to Fiji as they came from Australia so it was quick as well. Rachael and Lauren were volunteers at Medical Services Pacific.
“We heard about Nadi Bay Resort Hotel from a person that we met during our island hopping. We really love this place as it is so relaxing and quite. The staff at the hotel are very friendly as well and all our needs were greatly complied to, which is a bonus for this place. We really like the music band and the food is very delicious. Our tour hasn’t finished yet as we have to go to London and US of A. We visited Mana Island and Casteaway Island. The island is really stunning and relaxing. We would love to come back to Fiji and also make Nadi Bay Resort as one of our accommodators whilst we are in Fiji. From here we will be going to New Zealand and South America”, said the girls.
“Thank You very much for the wonderful stay and the great food”
Sitting down at the Whispers Restaurant was Sarah Cordell who came from Melbourne in Australia and was here in Fiji for the first time. Her visit was a holiday and also volunteering work at a Marine conservation organization known as the GVI. Sarah’s visit to Fiji was for 3 months and she really loved it here.
“I like the atmosphere and plus Nadi Bay Resort is so nice and quiet. It is easy for me to get around as it is close to all the amenities around. Since my visit, I have managed to go into Nadi town and even got some hand art (henna) on my hands as well. I’m just waiting for some members of the GVI group as they will be coming to here before we all make our way up to the ‘Moon Reef’. I have been involved in many volunteer works as such and also worked for at an Environmental Conservation Department,” said Sarah.
The GVI is an organization that has a mission to preserve marine biodiversity and to guarantee a long term food security for island communities in Fiji. There are many programs that the GVI is running throughout Fiji and these are mangrove tree planting, ecotourism project, conserving and protecting dolphins at the Moon Reef which is a tropical reef complex located 7.3km off the north-east coast of the main island of Viti Levu in the Fiji Islands.
“Nadi Bay Resort is a peaceful place to be and the food is very delicious. After my volunteer program, I will have a small holiday before going back to Australia. I would recommend this place to all my mates!” said Sarah.
These groups of students were on an educational trip from Travel Careers in Auckland and had one night stop over at Nadi Bay Resort Hotel before flying back to New Zealand. It was a training trip for them and they had great time in Fiji. Apart from their training, they also managed to go on the Blue Lagoon Cruise. It was the first time that they had been in Fiji and they enjoyed every moment of their stay.
“We really loved the cruise. The girls were very excited since they had never been here before. This resort is a great place as well. We all had a nice time relaxing here before we went back to New Zealand. The hospitality at this resort and everywhere around Fiji was just marvelous. It was warm and very welcoming. The atmosphere was so enticing. The food was so delicious and very well presented,” said Pallavi, the group leader.
“Thank you very much for the warm welcome and a sweet farewell Nadi Bay Resort Hotel. We wish to come back here soon,” exclaimed Pallavi.
Virginia or Ginny as known by everyone at Nadi Bay Resort Hotel came to Fiji from Bristol, England. She had been to Fiji before so this was not a new place for her and likewise her to everyone else. It was a break from work she needed and Fiji was like her second home away from home. It had been almost a month that she was here. To her being here for the first time made her come back to the hotel again and she said that she will always come around here whenever she got the opportunity.
“You can call it small yet this place is friendly and filled with people with big heart. The staff of this hotel go out of their way to help you when you are in need of anything. I personally decided that I don’t need to stay in a big extravagant resort to be comfortable. I think that you haven’t had the real taste of Fiji if you haven’t mingled around with the locals. This is like my second home. The owners are always around and that is very important at a place as you can always talk with them and get to know them”.
For Ginny this place was a DE -stressor as the entire environment will get you relaxed with soft music that you will enjoy the bright smiles on the face of every person around the place and most of all the quiet and private location.
“I love the food here. The chefs are so friendly and very talented in what they do. I really loved the tropical breakfast menu and not forgetting the delicious dinner. The presentations of the meals are great and each and every dish on the menu is delightful”, she stated.
“I have been on the Sigatoka River Safari, drank Kava and went on the Reef Endeavor cruise which was also very enchanting. I also went to a Fijian church service and what an experience that was for me. Some of the locals who are now my friends took me to Ice Bar and the Eds Bar. These places are great as well. I’ve been on the local buses which is very different from where I m from. The fact that everything is on ‘Fiji Time’ is funny yet things are done with care and I appreciate it”.
“I feel proud to be amongst the Fijians and it’s an honor to be invited around!”

“I think that Nadi Bay Resort is a nice place to be, it is very convenient and comfortable. I got to visit the Nadi Town when i was staying here which i couldn’t do otherwise. Some of the main entertainment places are just close by and that is nice. The peacefulness and the quietness is what I really love a lot at this place. I manage to get a good rest before I got back home. I love the food and the staff are just very helpful and friendly. I will for sure come back to this place when I come back next month”!
“Thank You Very much Fiji and big thanks to everyone at the Nadi Bay Resort Hotel”!
Hannah came from Australia to Fiji for the first time and she was so excited that she couldn’t stop smiling. She works in a hospital as staff nurse and was long over due a break from work. She saw Fiji as a place to be when you are tired and need a nice relaxing break either alone or with your family or friends. Hannah came to Fiji for a week and thought that this was the best few days that she ever had.
She came over with a friend who is originally from here and so she got to know a little about all the places. Her stay over at Nadi Bay Resort Hotel was a choice that her travel agent had made for her and her friend and they really thought that it was a convenient and nice place to be at. It was close to all the basic amenities, she didn’t have to worry about the time to reach the airport as it is just few kilometers away. The whole environment of the hotel is so quite and peaceful. “I am so glad that our travel agent chose this place for us since after we were so bummed out from all the partying that we did and all the enjoyment that we had on the islands that we visited! This place made me and my friend to relax before we went back to Australia”.
She had visited The Beachcomber Island Resort and the Manta Ray Island Resort in the Yasawas. The girls really enjoyed these two places. Hannah thought that Manta Ray Island resort was the best place to be at this time of the year since she got the opportunity to swim with the Manta Rays. At the Island they had done a lot of activities which include Snorkeling, Kayaking, playing Beach Volley ball, Making Fijian Handicraft, she witnessed the coconut tree climbing, she did a little Sun Bath and lastly she visited a village.
“This was a really magnificent place to meet and greet new people from all over the world. I think making people have a great time and enjoy themselves is the main point of the people of Fiji islands. Their smiles will take you miles and make your stay in Fiji worth your while”, quoted Hannah with a big grin on het face.
“I love the jewelry making session where I was able to make a bangle for myself with coconut shell. I think that was really amazing on how people can use their resources around and make things that are really beautiful and cheap as well. I also really loved swimming with the Mantas as they looked so magnificent from a close by look.”
Hannah also got a massage at Nadi Bay Resort and she just loved the whole idea of her relaxing and being pampered before she went back to Australia. She thought it was very cheap and convenient for her. The food at the Hotel she thought was very delicious and very scrumptious.
